Medical Pedagogy Faculty was founded in 1998. There are 129 pedagogues in 11 chairs of the faculty. There are 2 academicians, 20 doctors of sciences and 43 candidates of sciences. The faculty prepares general practitioners and pedagogues.

- About medical pedagogical faculty of Tashkent Medical Academy.
In accordance with the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 25, 1998 No. 228 of the rector of the First Tashkent State Medical Institute, August 30, 1998, for the purpose of the educational reform and the training of the teacher of general medicine, 140 under the faculty of treatment faculty the faculty of medical pedagogy on “the direction of professional education” was established.
Currently, the faculty prepares highly qualified teachers and general practitioners for medical colleges and medical institutes.

Currently, there are 131 pedagogical staff at the faculty. 21 of them are doctors of science and 43 are candidates of sciences. 22 of the teachers are docents and 16 are professors. Academician T.A. Daminov, a member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is working at the faculty
- How Many Students study nowadays?
At present , there are 706 students in the faculty, 214 of them study in state grants and 492study on contractual basis.
4. The requirements of the students (the knowledge of foreign language and ICT, it is necessary in studying, foreign language and ICT can lead to the learning consequences.
Each student has to have a personal notebook (netbook, tablet, iPad) and have the ability to work freely. Foreign languages should be used in studying and learning especially Russian and English languages, because learningpublications in foreign languages, as well as ongoing events and internationally acclaimed master classes and integrated lectures, and be able to access the world’s leading libraries and search portals through the tma.uz site. There are also Wi-Fi areas in the academy. If the student has not enough skills in foreign languages and information technology, he / she can not use those opportunities.
- What measures are taken for students with academic debt?
Students who owe 72 hours of inexplicable lesson are dismissed. Students who are sick due to illness will redeem their academic debt on a timely basis, based on the prescribed schedule. During the semester, students who have three or more absences in each subject and who have passed the final control (OSI and test) in bad grades are recieved by academic debtors and re-issued their academic debts on a non-semantic basis, and a semester lasted for academic debts will be deprived of a month scholarship.
6. Duration of study
The studying year in medical pedagogical faculty is 6 years. Graduates who have completed the curriculum of this faculty are highly skilled, competitive medical and pedagogical specialties.
7.Who will be after graduating the study?
Students who graduated from the Medical Pedagogy Faculty are qualified as general practitioners and pupils of lyceums and colleges. Graduates can continue their studies at the Master’s and Clinical Residency courses.
Graduates of the faculty can work as pediatricians at rural medical clinics, local polyclinics, regional central medical clinics and regional hospitals, and colleges.
