The direction of treatment education of Tashkent Medical Academy
Treatment faculty was founded in 1931. There is 1 academician, 32 professors, 56 dotcents and 149 assistents who work in 14 departments of faculty. At present, more than 1900 students study in faculty. This faculty prepares general practitioners.

The students who have graduated this direction may work in places such as:
- Rural medical item,
- family policlinics,
- Emergency aid.
The graduaters of treatment faculty in future may pass their documents to the magistracy or clinic ordination for narrow speciality which they have chosen.

- The history of faculty
The history of treatment faculty is associated with founding of medical faculty in Turkistan State University in 1919, 13th September. In 1920, on the 5th may the medical faculty received the building of former cadets wich consisted of clinic with 500 beds. At the beginning, in faculty 205 students were studing during 5 years. In 1931 the medical faculty became medical institute. In 1935 its name was changed from Medical Institute of Central Asia to Tashkent Medical Institute. In this institute it was founded 4 faculties, and one of them was treatment profilactic faculty wich was further called as treatment faculty.
From the foundation of faculty N.I.Ragoza as a dean of faculty and scientists such as S.G.Khaskin, P.A.Nerdit, A.S.Volûnskiy, A.M.Geller, A.KH. Khodjaev, I.Yu.Laskov, S.A.Dolimov, A.I.Magrupov, M.I.Gasparyan, N.M.Majidov, M.A.Ashrapova, R.M.Nurmuhamedov, A.I.Mo‘minov, N.X.Shomirzaev, Sh.I.Karimov, K.N.Najmutdinov, M.X.Koriev, M.M.Mirsamatov, T.X.Kayumov, P.I.Toshxo‘jaev, A.M.Khakimov, Sh.Ya.Zokirxujaev and others had been working in it.
In treatment faculty of Tashkent Medical Academy there has been a dean the professor O.R.Teshaev (2005-2006), K.I.Rasulev (2006-2008), S.P.Abdullaev (2008-2011), B.T.Xalmatova (2011-2014) P.S.Zufarov (2014-2017).Since March of 2017 the professor B.T.Xalmatova is a dean of faculty.

At present, 260 teachers work in faculty. Of them there is 1 academician,61 doctors of science and 104 philosophy of science.

4.The requirements to the students (to know foreign language and computer technologies, how is it important the knowing foreign language and computer technologies, what difficulties may be if they don’t know foreign language and computer technologies)
In faculty it is required to know perfectly the foreign languages and computer technologies. At present, it is important to use internet resources in order to apply newest advances of medicine and read modern medical literature. If they don’t know foreign languages and computer technologies they may lost much important information and will not be knowledgable specialists. .
5.What measures are used to students with academic debt?
The sudents who have missed 72 hours without any reason will be educted from the academy. The students who have missed due to illness will pass their debt by established graphic after they bring requiring documents from doctor. During the term the students who have 3 and more absents from each subjects, haven’t passed total control will be thought as students with academic debt and they will repass their dept by graphic and will lose last month scholarship.

By new order the education in treatment faculty composes 6 years. .
- What does study consist of?
For the preparing general practitioner the students have been studying fundamental subjects during first 3 years, from 4th cource they study clinic subjects. In the period of studying of clinic subjects one have payed attention to the integration among subjects. In practical lessons it is used modern teaching methods.
- What do they do after graduation?
After graduation of study they will take diploma – “General practitioner” of bachelor degree.
- Where can they work after graduating from Tashkent Medical Academy?
Postgradutes of treatment faculty can work at local policlinics, emergency medical stations, rural health centers or they can continue their Master’s degree or clinic internship and work as a specialist at scientific research institutes and leading healthcare facilities.
